Custom Cool Air Inlet

This is a very simple mod that somebody with either an ICEMAN or AEM intake can to get more performance out of there intake system.  The only material that is needed is some door trim (black).

For the install of the intake one must remove the front bumper cover to remove the stock airbox, while the bumper cover is off, pop your reflector out (save it you might wanna put it back on someday).  After it is removed simply run the door trim around the rough edge.  What you are left with is an almost stock looking "inlet" that allows fresh, cool air to the K&N.

Many people have asked me about water getting into the intake during rainstorms and such, I have had this setup for over a year now, driven through extreme downpours without a hint of trouble.  The oil that is in the K&N actually repels water, so unless completely submerged, you will be fine.  The only thing is, if you plan on driving your car in the winter time, road salt can pass through the K&N, so it would be a good idea either to plug the hole back up or take a furnace filter (can be bought at any hardware store for around 50 cents) and wrap the filter in it.
